Pre-painted PVDF Products

Product Description

This product adopts high performance Polyvinylidene Fluoride ( PVDF ) and is 2C2B system on both side, using the topcoat consist of 70% Kynar 500 of HYLAR 5000 Content. Hot dip galvanized and AL-Zn coated steel products can both be used as substrate (that is , the coating system is the same but substrates different).

Product Characteristics

  • Superior weather-resistance, corrosion-resistance, chemical-resistance and solvent-resistance.
  • Not easily damageable by various acids (Such as acid rain ), alkali erosion and UV ray.
  • Superior anti-staining ability, formability, long lasting color and low maintenance costs.
  • Use high weather-resistant ceramic pigments, and therefore the gloss of coating is low and in general 25%.
  • In regular environment, its durability is about 20 years.

Recommended End Use

Building : buildings in various severe outdoor environment, such as roof and wall panels, especially for high slope roof or a huge building, and areas requiring resistance to atmospheric pollution and strong sunlight, and durability.

Transportation industry : external body panels of automobiles and highway signs, etc.

Others : various protection panels requiring durability and compartments for hospitals, electronic plants and laboratories which require corrosion-resistance and anti-staining.

Product Specification

  • Substrate
    Use hot dip galvanized coated or AL-Zn coated steel coils. Zinc coated layer is Z18 (i.e. double-sided and 180g/m2 Min.) according to JIS G3302 or AL-Zn Coated layer is AZ150 (i.e. double-sided and 150 g/m2 Min) according to JIS G3321. Standard substrate thickness can be custom-made.
  • Pre-treatment
    Apply pre-treatment agent on the surface of hot dip galvanized coated or AL-Zn Coated coil to form a fine and corrosion-resistant film layer.
  • Coating System
    Use 2-coat-2bake coating system on both side.
  • Use corrosion-resistance Polyurethane (PU), and the thickness of dry film is 5µm.
  • Top Coat
    Use high performance PVDF coating (consist of 70% Kynar 500 or HLlar 5000 Fluoropolymer resin ) , and the thickness of dry film is 20µm.
  • Back Primer
    Use Polyurethane (PU) and thickness of dry film is 5µm.
  • Back Coat
    U Use high performance PVDF coating (consist of 70% Kynar 500 or HYLAR 5000 Fluoropolymer resin ) , and the thickness of dry film is 20µm.
  • Color and Gloss of Top and Back Coating For color selection of top and back coating, please refer to our standard color palette or up to customers’ requirements. Gloss of top coating is in general 25% (with reflection angle of 60˙ according to ASTM D525).
